     Marie LADD 85 died the afternoon of Feb. 21, 1994, at her residence.
     She was born Jan. 30, 1909, in Monteray Township of Putnam County to
Peter O. and Elizabeth DANCER HITTLE.  On April 29, 1927, she married Serge
"Sandy" LADD who died Feb 4, 1994.
     Mrs. LADD was a homemaker.
     Survivors include three sons, Serge LADD of Leipsic, Donald LADD of
Scio, Ore., and Robert LADD of Bellvue; two sisters, Lucretha RALSTON of
Delphos and Faith ROGERS of Van Wert; and 13 grandchildren and eight
g-grandchildren.
     She was preceded in death by one daughter, Norma Jean RHORS; four
brothers, Rollie, Otho, John and Roy HITTLE; and three sisters, Grace
FISSEL, Florence WILLIAMS and Nellie BUTLER.
     Services will begin at 1:00 pm Thursday at Love Funeral Home, Leipsic.
The Rev. Robert Whitacre will officiate.  Burial will be in Sugar Ridge
Cemetery, Leipsic.
     Friends may call from 11 am until time of the service Thursday at the
funeral home.
