MAURINE N. LADD

PRINCETON, Ky. -- Maurine Newsom Ladd, 90, Caldwell County, died at 9:10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at Hilltop Nursing Home, Kuttawa, following a brief illness.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan's Funeral Home, with the Rev. Cliff Jones officiating. Burial will be in Cross Roads Church Cemetery, Caldwell County. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 tonight.

A native of Caldwell County, she was born Oct. 25, 1909, the daughter of the late Wilbur and Mary E. Miller Newsom. She was a homemaker. Her first husband, Marvin Meadows, and her second husband, W.C. Ladd, preceded her in death. A son, Omry Dale Meadows, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include a brother, Larue Newsom, Caldwell County; a sister, Laverne Gore, Princeton; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
