N. Margaret Ladd

EXETER -- N. Margaret Ladd (McAllister) Ladd, 84, of 31 Hayes Park, Exeter, died Friday, May 30, 1997 at Exeter Hospital after a long illness.

A native of Exeter, Mrs. Ladd was born July 21, 1912, the daughter of J. Cornelius and Nora (Manix) McAllister.

She was a 1929 graduate of Robinson Female Seminary. For many years, Mrs. Ladd was the receptionist at Salem State College in Peabody Hall.

She and her late husband, Alva Ladd, lived many years in Salem. She retired to Exeter 13 years ago.

She leaves a son, James R. Jackson of Stratham; three grandchildren, five grandchildren; a brother, James F. McAllister of Exeter; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday at Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter.

Private burial services will be held at Central Cemetery in Epping.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either Rockingham VNA and Hospice, 137 Epping Road, Exeter or to the Stratham SPCA, Portsmouth Avenue, Stratham, N.H. 03885.
