     Paul M. LADD, 68, of Lima died at 12:30 pm Tuesday at his residence,
following an apparent heart attack.
     He was born June 8, 1918, in Meigs County, KY., the son of Henry H.
and Bertha L. MEAD Ladd.  He married Annetta (Ann) WHETSTONE, who survives.
     Mr. LADD retired in 1979 after 33 years as a clerk with the Nickle
Plate and Norfolk and Western Railroad.
     Survivors also include two sons, Darrel Ray LADD of Barstow, Calif.,
and Staff Sgt. Ronald Eugene LADD, serving with the U.S. Army; tow
daughters, Mrs. Donald (Judith) BURKE and Nancy Jane COLLEY, both of Lima;
13 grandchildren; 14 g-grandchildren; one brother, Cleo C. LADD of
Perysburg; and one sister, Mrs. Galen (Waldeane) GAMBLE of Van Wert.
     Services will be at 2 pm Friday at Siferd Westwood Chapel, Rev.
Willard Thomas officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
     Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Thursday
at the funeral home.
