Serge "Sandy" LADD, 86, died Feb. 4, 1994, at Bethesda Nursing Home,
Fremont.
He was born June 10, 1907, in West Leipsic to Charles and Ida Mae
(BUTTERMORE) LADD.
On April 29, 1927, he married Marie HITTLE, who survives.
Mr. LADD was a conductor for Nicle Plate and Norfolk and Western
Railroads, retiring in 1972 after 35 years of service.
He was a member of Eagles Aerie Lodge 490 and Moose Lodge 238, both in
Bellevue, and Dads of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Veterans of Foreign Wars
Post 1238 in Bellevue.
Other survivors include three sons, Serge LADD of West Leipsic, Donald
LADD of Scio, Ore., and Robet LADD of Bellevue; and 13 grandchildren and
eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Jean RHORS; and three
sisters, Grace POWELL, Metta BOWERMAN and Elizabeth PAYNE.
Services will begin at 1:00 pm Wednesday at Love Funeral Home,
>Leipsic. he Rev. Robert Whitacre will officiate.
Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
NOTE: by Donald LADD - I wish to make a slight correction. It should read
"Nickle Plate Railroad" (later became part of the Norfolk and Western and
now is the Norfolk & Southern)
