Willis Ladd Jr.
KITTERY POINT, Maine Willis T. Ladd Jr., 75, of Tenney Hill Road died Friday afternoon, April 14, 2000 at Southridge Living Center in Biddeford, Maine after a long illness.
Born in Liberty, Maine on March 12, 1925, the son of Willis T. and Ruth M. Colby Ladd Sr., he was educated in Liberty schools.
Mr. Ladd served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
On May 29, 1954, he married Jeanne E. Rogers in East Hartford, Conn.
Mr. Ladd was employed as an automotive machinist for Tra-Kim Machine Shop in Hartford, Conn. for 20 years, retiring in 1985. He moved to Maine in October 1997.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and living in St. Cloud, Fla. for 10 years where he had many caring friends, as well as in Connecticut. He also enjoyed buying, repairing and reselling player pianos. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Orient Lodge 62 in Connecticut.
He was predeceased by his wife, Jeanne Rogers Ladd on Feb. 7, 1997; a brother, Avon Ladd in 1923 and a sister, Priscilla Brinker in 1990.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Alvin (Jean) Fletcher of Kittery Point; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Joan Holzworth of Windsor, Vt.; one stepson, Arthur Pond of Richford, Vt., several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Searsmont, Maine.
Arrangements are by Alpha Cremation Service, 480 Elm St., Biddeford.
