This is a picture I took of Henry and Mollies Ladds  house on a visit to Hardy back in 1992. Mollie was the postmaster of the Armstrong community and the post office was located in this house. By the way, the photo of Henry and Mollie was taken about 1890.

Do you know these Ladd sisters? David C. Bennefield sent this picture to me in 1978. His grandmother corresponded with these sisters who were from Arkansas. He said the handwriting on the back of the picture looked like Lulubell or Lubil. David’s ancestor was Johnson Hall who married Delilah (Della) Ladd 23 December 1846 in Yell County, Arkansas. "Johnson was born in Virginia and moved to Indiana in the early 1820s. He was the son of Joseph Hall b. 1795."

I believe the Hall family and the family of Joseph Ladd (later of Sevier Co., and Yell Co., Arkansas) migrated together. Submitted BY: Janet Newell
