John Ladd. Estate of John Ladd. Box 73 #777. Probate Judge Office. Pickens, S.C. Est. admr. 18 Jan. 1864 by Salathiel Ladd, James Cantrell, T.R. Price, Alexander Edens who are bound unto W.E. holcombe, Ord. in the sum of $2500.00... left seven heirs. Recd. 24 March 1864 Pleasaant Ladd old note $121.00. Paid Rilla Howard $500.00.

Thail Ladd. Estate of Thail Ladd, Box 110 #1054. Probate Judge Office. Pickens, S.C. Est. adm. 28 Aug 1876 by John L. Gravely, John T. Jones who are bound unto H.I. Philpot, Ord. in the sum of $200.00. On 11 Jan. 1879 Milly Ladd, Thia M. Ladd, recd. shares. T.A. Hudson the wife of John F. Hudson recd. a share. Left eight Heirs: Jane Ladd, Elizabeth Stansell, Adaline Redmond and the heirs of Amos Ladd decd., Sarah Gravely recd. a share. P.E. Ladd recd. a share. On 1 March 1877 J.M. Akins of Transylvania Co., N.C. states that Thail Ladd is indebted to him and that he is not a resident of this State. A letter in the file to Mr. John Gravely, Prices, P.O. Pickens Co., S.C. from his cousin P.E. Ladd of Banks Co., Ga. He request that Gravely send his money to him at the same P.O. letter dated 31 July 1879. Another letter to Mr. John L. Gravely, he called him a friend and is from J. M. Odell of Hall co., Ga. and states that Mr. P. E. Ladd was at my house now. no date.

Note: Tombstone in Chestatee Baptist Church in Hall county, Georgia: J.H. Ladd, b. 4-26-1839, d. 12-28-1912, believe this is John H. s/o Pleasant E. Ladd.
