"Vol 2 State Papers of Vermont - 16 March 1780 The Charter of Chittenden
Those who were granted land:"

Among the names were "Nathaniel Ladd" and "Amasa Ladd".

Vol 2 of the Vermont State Papers - The Charter of Blake's Gore
The area lying and being between the towns of SHARON & STRAFFORD in Orange
Co. Land granted to"

Among the names was "Samuel Lad"
It went on to say:

"Each Proprietor had to plant and cultivate 5 acres of land and build a
house
of at least 18 ft. sq. on the Floor or have one Family settled on each
respective right within the term of 3 years next after the second Thursday
of
Oct 1787.
This Gore was to be annexed to the town of Strafford."
