This is not a query as such, but I have records and information about Noah Ladd, son of John Asa Ladd, son of Asa Valentine Ladd, son of Ransom. Noah was my grandfather. I have been in touch with all the members of his family == either children or grandchildren. I also have considerable information about many of Henry Asbury and William Burke Ladd's family. All of these people are or were Arkansas Ladd families. My father Ransom Noah Ladd was the fifth son of Noah Elexander Ladd who was the second son of John and Senora Davis Ladd. Her parents were John T. and Mary Wilson Davis. I would be happy to share my information with those who may be interested. I also have some info about Nancy L. Ladd Prewitt (Pruitt) sister of Noah who married Jasper Columbus Prewitt, son of Abner Prewitt. I also have info concerning the first Ransom. Much of this information came from Veda Oliver, his granddaughter, and daughter of Robert Lee Ladd, Ransom's youngest child. Veda had the Bible records that belonged to her family. Perhaps this information will shed some light on what is presently available. Other researchers who have been involved in this search are Nelson Price of Imperial Beach, CA. His ascester was Willial C. Ladd, second son of Ransom. Also Betty Norman, wife of the late Harry Norman was also researching the Ladds. Harry was doubly related--through Ransom and through Anna Eve Norman's line. One of his great grandmothers was Cynthia Caroline Ladd Majors and another was Cynthia Caroline Norman Jerrell. Mike Ladd of California has also been collecting information, praticularly Henry Asbury Ladd Info.

Constantine Ladd was b. abt 1797 in Pickens Co., SC. He died 10/10/1848 in Marion Co. TN. He married Elizabeth Box 9/11/1832. Constantine had 3 children prior to his marriage to Elizabeth. Who was his first wife? Where is he / and she buried? I have a considerable database and will share what information I have. It's not all documented so there may be errors. Dee Burr

Has anyone come across LADDY/LADDIE in their research into the LADD family? I have not found a common name, so suspect they are indeed two different names. Our family was in the NC area in the early 1800's. Any advice? Thanks, LaRayne Jeffries California kjeffries@sierra.campus.mci.net
My paternal grandmother was Ethel Jane Ladd, daughter of Frederick Ladd and Ida ???. Frederick had a brother, Thomas. Ethel had siblings, Fred, Ida, William I, Selena, & Peter (adopted). William is Carl's grandfather. Frederick & Thomas owned the Clayton Laundry in Clayton, NJ in the early 1900's. Other than this, I know nothing of the Ladd side of my family. I would appreciate learning my great-grandmother's name, and any ancestry prior to Frederick & Ida. Also, do the New Jersey Ladds tie in to the New England & Virginia Ladds, and,if so, how? I am interested in finding more info on a Keziah Ladd that married Moses Hackett. One of their children was John hackett annd he was born in VT in 1787.All I know is that they were married. He, her husband was born 24 July1755 in Mass. Any info appreciated. Someone passed along your home page & e mail address.

Saw your reference to LADD in a newsgroup this morning. Opened the URL to you Webpage and browsed through to see if I could locate my 6th great grandmother Mary LADD. No luck, but there may be a link out there waiting. I have included her family with John Shattuck below in case that helps. Mary is the only LADD we have. 14.
