        (1)  William Johnson, born about 14 March 1639/1640 in either England or the Netherlands, died 1716 in New Haven, New Haven Co., Connecticut; married 11 December 1664 at New Haven, New Haven Co., Connecticut, Sarah Hall, born about 1645 in New Haven, New Haven Co., Connecticut, died 10 May 1685 in New Haven, New Haven Co., Connecticut. William was also called Windle or Wingle Johnson in records.
        In 1670, William became one of the original founders of Wallingford, New Haven Co., Connecticut.
       William and Sarah were parents of:

 

        (2)  Jacob Johnson, born 25 September 1674 in New Haven, New Haven Co., Connecticut, died 26 July 1749 in New Haven, New Haven Co., Connecticut; married 14 December 1693 at New Haven, New Haven Co., Connecticut, Abigail Hitchcock, born 10 April 1674 in New Haven, New Haven Co., Connecticut, died 6 January 1725/1726 in New Haven, New Haven Co., Connecticut. Parents of:

 

        (3)  Enos Johnson, born June 1697 in Wallingford, New Haven Co., Connecticut, died 31 January 1786 in New Haven, New Haven Co., Connecticut. The name of his wife is unknown.

Children:

  1. Elizabeth, born 1734 in Wallingford, New Haven Co., Connecticut, died 23 June 1777; married 20 March 1754 in Meriden, New Haven Co., Connecticut, Moses Hall, born 25 August 1735 in Wallingford, New Haven Co., Connecticut, died 5 August 1788 in Meriden, New Haven Co., Connecticut. Moses and Elizabeth were second cousins, since his' great-grandfather Hall and her great-grandmother Johnson were brother and sister.
