(1) Thomas Lapham
was born about 1612 in England, died supposedly in 1648 in Scituate, Massachusetts.
Savage says he died the same year in which his son Joseph was born, and
he made his will 15 June 1644, but no death date
is
known. Thomas was a servant to Nathaniel Tilden, one of the richest men
in Scituate. He was married Nathaniel's daughter, Mary
Tilden
on 13 March 1637 in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Nathaniel Tilden mentioned
in his will "Mary, w. of Thomas Lapham . .
." She is noted in Torrey Supplement
2 as marrying second between 1651 and 1664, William Bassett, of Plymouth,
Duxbury and Bridgewater.

Rebecca,
born 1645 according to the records of the second church of Scituate. She
was about 3 years old when her father died. She died about 1717 in
Bridgewater, Massachusetts, where she is buried. She married John
Washburn
on 16 April 1679 in Bridgewater.
