        1. Lucy Moulton, born about 1728, died 13 September 1813 in Sharon, Litchfield, Connecticut; married about 1748 in Connecticut, Ebenezer Everett, born about 1722 in Windham, Windham Co., Connecticut, died 24 July 1810 in Sharon, Connecticut.  It is true that James and Mehitable Moulton had a daughter Lucy, and it is also true that Ebenezer Everett married a woman named Lucy Moulton; however, a marriage record for Ebenezer and this particular Lucy Moulton has not yet been found, so their union must be substantiated by other evidence.

        2.         Some claim that Lucy was born in Sharon, Connecticut, making it unlikely that she would be the offspring of James and Mehitable, but Sharon was not laid out for settlement until 1738 nor incorporated until 1739.
Furthermore, this Moulton/Conant family occupied the same towns that the Everetts did in Connecticut -- Windham and Lebanon.  The only other Lucy Everett in the area was born in 1712 and was James' sister.
Lucy Moulton, daughter of James had a mother and sister named Mehitable; Lucy, wife of Ebenezer Everett named one of her daughters Mehitable.  Finally, Lucy, wife of Ebenezer Everett had a grandson named Hovey Everett.
Research for documented proof of their marriage is ongoing and can likely be found in Windham town records, but for now, preponderance of all available evidence confirms that Lucy, daughter of James and Mehitable was wife of Ebenezer Everett.
