He died in 1808 in Kingwood, Hunterdon, New Jersey. Jacob names his children in his will dated 1 May 1804. According to RADM Stout, Jacob's grandson Peter STOUT married Hetty STOUT, daughter of Reeder.

Signed by J. T. Blackwell, Surrogate. [Note that this has not been proven to be the Jacob Stout of Warren County, born 1801. However, no other Jacob Stout has been identified in this age group in New Jersey or Pennsylvania.]

Jacob M. STOUT was born on 29 Jun 1831 in Greenwich Twp., Warren, New Jersey. He died on 18 Apr 1892 in Breckenridge Twp., Caldwell, Missouri. He was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Caldwell, Missouri. Jacob M. Stout was a wheelwright at Oxford Furnace in Warren County, New Jersey. In 1869, when John R. Stout became seriously ill with tuberculosis, both Jacob and John sold their New Jersey properties and used the combined proceeds to buy a 160 acre farm in Section 7, Mooresville Township, Livingston County, Missouri.

Jacob built a grout house on this farm and it was the showcase of the county. It included an iron furnace in the basement. His brother John's health continued to worsen and he (John) returned to Warren County, New Jersey, with his family where he soon died. Jacob was the highest bidder on John's 80 acre farm in Missouri.

Jacob M. Stout was noted for his physical strength and his quiet manner. It was said that he could lift more weight than any two men in the neighborhood. A photograph of Jacob M. Stout and family, in this researcher's possession, was probably taken after it was learned that he was dying of tuberculosis. The photo portrays a small, thin man. Both Jacob and his brother John died of tuberculosis after having worked for many years at the Oxford Furnace in New Jersey.

Jacob owned 160 acres in Section 7, Mooresville, in partnership with his brother, John R. Stout. John returned to New Jersey with his family where he soon died. Jacob bought the 80 acres inherited by John's family. In 1869, Jacob built a grout house on this farm, with a cast iron furnace in the basement. That furnace made the house the showplace of the county for some time. In 1880, Jacob and family were enumerated in Caldwell County, just across the road from their Mooresville Township farm.

The three surviving sons married and lived outside of Livingston County. Parents: Jacob STOUT and Margaret MCILROY.

James STOUT was born in 1648 in Gravesend, Long Island, New York. He lived in Freehold, Monmouth, New Jersey on 11 Aug 1707. He died about 1717 in New Jersey. Parents: Richard STOUT and Penelope KENT VAN_PRINCIN.
