Wiley Clark, Presbyterian Minister. Andrew was a Lt. Col. in the Missouri State Guard. He died in the Battle of Wilson's Creek near Springfield. His general store in Utica and his farm, located between Mooresville and Utica, were frequent targets of Union soldiers foraging for food. This ended when a Union Captain learned that the widow's husband had been a member of the Masons. In 1870, the widow and children lived in Section 16, Mooresville Twp., next to Frederick Lyday. Martha did a man's work in maintaining this small farm; this supplemented her small salary for teaching in the Mooresville school. Lizzie was a school teacher in 1880. He practiced medicine in Independence, Missouri, then returned to Kentucky to take over his deceased brother James' medical practice in 1844. A few years later he practiced in Platte Co., Missouri. He served as Tulare County District Attorney 1884-1886 and became a Judge of the Tulare Co. Superior Court in 1899. He loved nature and visited the Sierra Nevada mountains annually.
