Bush then went to Connor's livery stable where he procured a heavy club about three feet in length, and armed with this bludgeon followed Bennett into the store. The quarrel was renewed and Bush called Bennett an unmentionable name, which Mr. Bennett resented by striking at him with his fist, whereupon Bush struck him on the head with three blows from the club, after which he left the store.
