Finding that village already had two physicians, Dr. Halstead went to Richmond, Ray Co., Missouri and formed a partnership there with Dr. Nathaniel Davis in April 1841. In February 1842 he returned to his native Kentucky and remained there until June 1855 when he purchased land in Section 27, Breckenridge Township.
