Rebecca Jean Blouir Freeland is the widow of the grandson of William R. Hall's son William D. Hall.  According to Jean, she was told by one of William D. Hall's granddaughters that William Clarence Hall was the name of William R. Hall's father.

According to W.V. Sprague's Sprague Famlies in America, William R. Hall "was the son of William, and the brother of the Alfred Hall that married Narcissus Ross..."

www.heritagepursuit.com - History of Washington County - Adams Township states that William's son Alfred was born in West Virginia in 1802 and did not move to Adams Township until 1822.  In as much as Alfred's brother William R. Hall married Mary Missouri Sprague in Washington county, Ohio about 10 years later, it appears likely that the entire family moved into the area in 1822 if the information in the History of Washington County is correct.
