www.heritagepursuit.com - History of Washington County - Adams Township: shows that William's brother Alfred Hall was born in West Virginia in 1802 and that he moved to Ohio and settled in Adams township in 1822.   In as much Alfred would have been about 20 and William about 16 in 1822, it is likely that the entire family moved into the area at the same time.
