According to my Mother, Martin and Malinda lived with her family when she was a girl. She described Martin, whom she called "Gramps Berry," as having a long white beard, and said that he would spend a good deal of time in prayer before every meal. She said Malinda, whom she referred to as Gramma Berry, smoked a corn-cob pipe. Larry Hall/2002
