"this is ye best account I can give of our family there wa s here some years past a Presbyterian minister come from Sc otland- he said that two brothers of our name came with wil liam ye Conqueror one of which setled in ye north of Englan d of which I suppose my family came & ye other setled in Sc otland o which, I suppose, your family came which correspon ds with thy relation,"
