Peoria - Laura L. Walwer, 93, formerly of North Missouri Avenue, died at
12:35 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 1997, at Washington Christian Village in Washington.
Born Jan. 6, 1904, in Buckley to Henry C. and Minna Sprehe Krumwiede, she married
Jake F. Walwer on Dec. 9, 1928, in Buckley. He died June 14, 1959, in Peoria.
Two sisters, two brothers, eight half brothers and sisters, and two grand-children
also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Roland of Washington and John of Los Angeles; three
brothers, George Krumwiede of Fort Wayne, Ind., Frederick Krumwiede of Buckley
and Carl Krumwiede of Onarga; two sisters, Rosa Weber of Onarga and Hilda Ekhoff
of Milford; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Peoria and its Quilters Circle.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Remmert Funeral Home, East Peoria.
The Rev. Wayne Martin will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services
at the funeral home. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens, Peoria.
Memorials may be made to her church or Washington Christian Village.
