Buckley - Frances D. Steffey, 91, of La Grange Park, formerly of Buckley, died Feb. 10, 1997, at Columbia La Grange Memorial Hospital in LaGrange Park.
Funeral services were Feb. 13 at Grace Lutheran Church, Western Springs. Burial was in Bronswood Cemetery, Oak Brook.
Mrs. Steffey was born Oct. 25, 1905, at Sherburn, Minn., a daughter of Augusta Koschnick and George A. Krumwiede. She married Robert Steffey in 1936. He preceded her in death. Survivors include two sisters-in-law and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
She resided in Western Springs, where she was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She was baptized at Sherburn, Minn., and was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley.
She spent her last seven years at Plymouth Place in LaGrange Park.

She was buried on 13 Feb 1997 in Bronswood Cemetery, Oak Brook, Illinois.⁵³

Frances Dorothy KRUMWIEDE and Robert Allen STEFFEY were married on 11 Jul 1936. Robert Allen STEFFEY (son of Thurman Dixon STEFFEY and Mary Emily PERRY) was born on 15 Apr 1905 in Illinois.¹⁹⁴ Robert was the s/o Thurman Dixon Steffey, Sr./Mary Emily Perry; grandson of Charles Howard Steffey/Jane West McCullum; g-grandson of Peter Steffey/Catharine Tritle (the daughter of Revolutionary War soldier, Jonathan Tritle who served with George Washington at Valley Forge.) Peter & Catherine's 10th born son, Benjamin Otto Steffey (brother to Charles Howard Steffey) was my husband's great-great grandfather.
