Point, Wisconsin.218
Fred John Hilgendorf
Word was received here Thursday of the death of Fred John Hilgendorf, 60, of
Almond, Wisconsin, former resident of Buckley. He died of a lingering illness
on Wednesday, June 9, at 3 p.m. in the St. Michael hospital at Steven's Point,
Wisconsin.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the Almond Lutheran church at Almond,
Wis. Rev. H. Mueller, pastor of the church officiated. Interment was in the church
cemetery. He was born Jan. 21, 1888 at Buckley, the son of Fred and Sophie Krumwiede
Hilgendorf. He was married to Rigina Sharp Jan. 12, 1910. He moved with his family
to Almond during the year of 1920. He was engaged in farming. His wife preceded
him in death on Oct. 5, 1940.
He is survived by one son Geo. of Almond, three daughters, Mrs. Sophie Oster
house of Pewaukee, Wis., Mrs. Margaret Colla of Oshkosh, Wis., Mrs. Mary Tess
of Almond, Wis. with whom he made his home and three sisters Mrs. Wilbur King,
Buckley, Mrs. Wm. Crozier, Loda, Mrs. Fred Ronna, Loda and 5 brothers, Martin
and Ed of Buckley, Arthur of Donovan, Reverend Carl Hilgendorf of Geneseo and
Theodore of Beemer, Nebraska. He was a member of the Almond Lutheran church.
Frederick John (Fred) HILGENDORF and Regina Catherine SCHARP were married
on 12 Jan 1910.50,53 Regina Catherine SCHARP was
born on 19 Dec 1888 in Leonard, Iroquois County, Illinois.219 Leonard is located where the Butterfield Trace crosses
current U.S. Highway 24 between Gilman and Crescent City. She died on 5 Oct
