His grandmother and grandfather (August) Krumwiede (grandmother's first name unknown to me) emigrated from Saxony Germany at ages 16 and 17 to Buckley, Illinois to escape from Prussianism (mandatory military service). They had 4 sons and divided their farm amongst their four sons. His mother, Eugenia DaCosse married and was widowed -- one son Eddie Hammond -- then married his father, Henry Krumwiede and they had six children. There was a half sister, Lydia, born before the marriage. They divorced and his mother remarried Phil Clark and they lost one child. The Dacosses emigrated to the Clifton area from Alsace Lorraine. Henry Krumwiede moved to Indiana and had another large family.
Lydia's daughter Clara visited Lorraine and Larry Baron's in 1930 and my cousin Lorraine Wasmer, Clifton, went to see her.
