post 432, The American Legion. He was born January 11, 1894 at Buckley, son
of August F. and Louisa Wolf Krumwiede. He was married in 1918 to Carolina Rust [this
marriage is well-documented to have taken place 21 Oct 1917 - the first marriage
ceremony to have been performed in the present church building], who died in 1953.
In 1954, he married Wilhelmina Lietz Jahnke who died in 1965. Mr. Krumwiede
was a lifelong member of the St. John Church, a World War I veteran and a lifetime
member of the Buckley American Legion post, a member of the World War I Barracks
and of the Senior Citizens club, both of Paxton. Surviving are two sons, Armin
of Paxton and Arlon of Kankakee; a step-daughter, Mrs. Wilbert Schumacher of Buckley;

He was married to Carolena M RUST on 21 Oct 1917 in St. John's Lutheran Church,
Buckley, Illinois.(6) (5) This
was the first marriage performed in the present church building. His obituary
gives his year of marriage as 1918, but the dedication date of the building is well-documented
to have been September 30, 1917; therefore confirming the year 1917 as the year of
his marriage. Carolena M RUST(1) was born on
11 Oct 1897 in Buckley, Iroquois County, Illinois.(5)
She died on 15 Jun 1953 in Paxton, Ford County, Illinois. (5)
