Chuck Luhrsen, grandfather to Keisha Luhrsen, reads to the kindergarteners at St. John's Lutheran School. As part of the celebration of Thanksgiving the children learned Indian children had no books. Stories were remembered by their grandparents and parents and passed on. As part of "L" week they learned they are "lucky to have books."

Chuck Luhrsens to mark 40th wedding anniversary
Buckley -- Chuck and Phyllis Luhrsen of Buckley will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Feb. 1 at an open house to be held at the Buckley American Legion, Buckley, from 4 to 6 p.m.
Luhrsen and the former Phyllis Johnston were married XXXXX, 1957, in XXXXX, Ind.
They are the parents of two children, Craig Luhrsen of Buckley, and Carol Ecker of Loda. They have three grandchildren, Myndi, Keisha and Kyle.
