Mrs. Hartke, 84, Buckley, dies Sunday
Mrs. Lillie Hartke, 84, died Sunday at 8 p.m. at the Iroquois Resident Home,
Watseka, where she had been a patient for the past three months. Funeral services
will be conducted Wednesday, at 1:30 p.m., at the St. John Lutheran Church, Buckley,
the Rev. Fred H. Stennfeld officiating. Burial will be in the St. John Lutheran
cemetery, Buckley. Visitation will be at the Ford-Baier Funeral Home Tuesday
afternoon and evening.
Mrs. Hartke was born November 24, 1883, in Chicago. Her parents were Theodore
and Lena Leipitz Blanck. She moved to Buckley as a child and was a member of
the St. John Lutheran Church and the St. John Ladies Aid.
She married Amiel F. Hartke November 18, 1914 at Kankakee. He died November 29,
1967.
Surviving are one son, Elmer Hartke of Buckley; one granddaughter, Mrs. Jeanette
Winder of Milford and three great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband,
she was preceded in dath by five brothers and one sister.
