Services Conducted Tuesday For Mrs. Lizzie Blanck
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternooon for Mrs. Lizzie Blanck,
67, of Buckley, who died suddenly at 6:40 p.m. Saturday, while enroute to Cissna
Park to keep an appointment with a Cissna park physician, who pronounced her
dead upon arrival. She died in a car driven by her daughter, Mrs. Esther Saparnis
of Buckley. Death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage.
Born March 30, 1882 at Buckley, she was the daughter of Henry and Fredericka
Hilgendorf Hartke. She spent her childhood in Buckley and was married October
13, 1907 at that town to Louis Blanck, who died September 27, 1939.
She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church and an active member
of the Ladies Aid.
Surviving children are a son Raymond, and her daughter, Mrs. Saparnis, and
three grandchildren, all of Buckley. Seven brothers, Edward, of Marion, kan.,
William of Owasso, Mich., Henry of Thawville, and Amiel, Harry and Theodore,
all of Buckley, and Charles of Crescent City; and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Lustfeldt
and Mrs. Anna Wilkens of Buckley also survive.
The funeral services were conducted first at the home and then at St. John's
Evangelical Lutheran church, with Rev. E.M. Goltermann, pastor, officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
Lizzie HARTKE and Louis BLANCK were married on 13 Oct 1907.53
