2. Frederich LUHRSEN JR was born on 29 Apr 1844 in Hanover, Germany.² He lived in Sadorus, Illinois in 1895.⁵ Fred Luhrsen, Jr., came up from Sadorus on his wheel last week, to pay his friends and relatives a visit. He died on 19 Sep 1919 in Melrose Park, Illinois.²

Frederich LUHRSEN JR and Emma VOLBERDING were married on 28 Feb 1869 in Buckley, Iroquois County, Illinois.^2,6,7 "Rev. Julius Schumm of Champaign made occasional trips to this hamlet, and officiated as called. Rev. Schumm was a memter of the United Evangelical Synod of the Northwest. According to records available, this pastor made his first and initial visit here on Feb. 28, 1869, the purpose of his visit being to solemnize the wedding of Mr. Frederick Luehrsen and his bride...." Emma VOLBERDING (daughter of Henrich VOLBERDING and Mary LUEHRS) was born on 10 Feb 1850 in Cook County, Illinois.² She died on 6 Mar 1931 in Buckley, Iroquois County, Illinois.² Frederich LUHRSEN JR and Emma VOLBERDING had the following children:

9	i.	Ferdinand H W (Fritz) LUHRSEN was born on 15 Apr 1870.8 He died on 19 Feb 1873.8 He was buried about 22 Feb 1873 in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Buckley, Illinois.9 Children's Area of Section B, Row 8. Stone reads "Fritz H W Luhrsen, son of Fritz and Emma Luhrsen."
10	ii.	George H T LUHRSEN was born on 22 Mar 1872.8 He died on 21 Feb 1873.8 He was buried about 23 Feb 1873 in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Buckley, Illinois.9 Children's Area of Section B, Row 8. Tombstone reads, "George H T Luhrsen, son of Fritz and Emma Luhrsen." Note that his brother Fritz H W died two days previous. Presumably, these brothers died from a common illness, probably the typhus epidemic.

12	iv.	August LUHRSEN was born on 3 Apr 1876 in Buckley, Iroquois County, Illinois.2 He was in the news in 1895. 1 Nov 1895 - Aug. Luhrsen did the proper thing when he moved his corn crib sixteen feet back. It enhances the looks of his plce very much. He died on 23 Jan 1965 in Watseka, Iroquois County, Illinois.2
