I've sent a separate email to Andy explaining that Francois Moreau and
Marie
Jeanne Lapointe most likely weren't Acadians [unless the names were really Morin instead of Moreaux and and Martin instead of Lapointe]. Of
interest,
however, is that the marriage of Francois Moreau to Marie Josephe Breau
on
June 24, 1770 is the earliest marriage I've found for the church at St.
James. The earliest baptism I've found was for Antoine Alexandre
LeBlanc
[Simon and Anne Arceneaux] who was baptized on June 20, 1770. Simon
LeBlanc
and Honore Brau were witnesses for the marriage.

Simon LeBlanc, bn. 1742, m. Anne Arceneaux [who was the widow of Barthelemy Bergeron] was the son of Desire LeBlanc and Marie-Madeleine Landry. He
is
sometimes confused with my 4th great-grandfather Simon [-Joseph] born
1744.
Desire LeBlanc was a son of Rene LeBlanc, the Notary!
