Hello Mike,

No, we're not cousins. This is my sister-in-laws family and I've just done some research on it to fill in information for her and her daughters. Below is what I've found to date and it's been over a year since I've found this at Clayton Library in Houston.

Theogene Louviere m Olive LeBlanc

Their son, Emile Louviere b 22 May 1871 in Iberia Parish, LA Married Marie Clelie Ranconnet, daughter of Tomas Ranconnet and Amelia Hebert. She was b 21 Aug 1873 in Iberia Parish, LA. Birth or baptismal record for both can be found in Vol 1 of Lydia Catholic Church, Lydia, Iberia Parish, LA Emile on pg 60 and Clelie on pg 78.

On the 1920 Iberia Parish census ED 24, sht 22A taken 3 Feb shows them living in the 18th ward; dwelling 462/473:

Emilie 48, Clille 47, Deadier, 20, Namez 18, Lodies 15, Cilton 12 and Aline 5.

I also have a Marie Annie Louviere b 18 Feb 1901. Nemes Antoine 19 Dec 1902; Laodice 18 Jan 1905 and Joseph Sylton 17 Dec 1907.

Laodice marred Celena Daniels. She was born between 1905 and 1910. Their daughter Rosie Theresa is my sister-in-law.

Some of this information came from Father Hebert's "Southwest Louisiana Records".

Rosie didn't know much about her family so what I have found is all we have.

I have limited knowledge about my family. My father, Joseph Louviere was born in 1933 in Santa Rosa, CA to a Ophey (sp?) and Elizabeth, I don't know maiden name. I know they came to Calif. from LA, that's it.
My dad died in August 1996, in Oregon. He had brothers, Edward, Frank, and Karl. I've lost touch with them but do know Frank died a couple of years ago. My dad and his brothers were raished in Foster homes, when Ophey went to San Quentin from 1936-46 and their mother couldn't take care of them.
Any information would be appreciated.

My dad, Leonard Joseph Louviere, passed away on June 7, 2001. I don't know of any other family that he has living besides my brothers and sister. I'd like to find out all I can about his history. His mother's name was Eleda DeRouen and his father's name was Anxville Louviere. My understanding is they were from New Iberia and before that Acadia. If anyone has any info I could build on, I would appreciate it. Best regards,

P.S. Leonard's dob was 8/21/41
He had one brother Jerry Gene Louvier (e dropped in the Army) and two half brothers
Chester Paul DeRouen and Everitt Joseph DeRouen. Jerry had children, Kim, Gary, Johnny. It's very little but about all I know. Other than Eleda was married to E. Arceneaux for many years and lived in Fanette Texas. Anxville died in Port Arthur, Tx. in the 1980's.
