She was the daughter of the late William Louviere and the late Leontene (Dufrene) Louviere.
She is survived by two daughters, Patsy Mann of Morgan City and Colleen S. Orgeron and her husband, Doug, of Lafayette; three sons, Sergin Joseph ?S.J.? Sampey and his wife, Priscilla, of Des Allemands, Larry Sampey and his wife, Claire, of Bayou Vista, and William ?Peter? Sampey of Raceland; four sisters, Bertha L. Cunningham, Bernice L. ?Sis? Guidry and Yvonne L. Giroir, all of Houma, and Ethel L. LaMaster and her husband, Herb, of Morgan City; two brothers, Earl Louviere and his wife, Zona, of Bayou Black, and Nolan Louviere and his wife, Dot, of Houma; 11 grandchildren, Troy Sampey and his wife, Amy, Sean Sampey and his wife, Mickey, Anne Mary Doss and her husband, David, Tony Sampey and his wife, Lauren, David Sampey and his wife, Brandi, Stephanie Frost and her husband, Man, Stephen Mann, Laura E. Sampey, Lacy Sampey, Sara Mancuso, Kathryn Mancuso, Chris Orgeron, and Cyrus Orgeron; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband of over 35 years, Sergin J. Sampey Sr.; her second husband of over 18 years, Wickles P. Cortez; and two brothers, Herbert Louviere and Norman Louviere.
Pallbearers to serve will be Troy Sampey, Sean Sampey, David Sampey, Tony Sampey, Stephen Mann and Derek Sampey.
Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Sergin Joseph ?S.J. Sampey Jr., Larry Sampey, William ?Peter? Sampey, Frederick Hover, Joseph Mann and Dylan Sampey.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2005, at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City with a rosary to be said at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2005, with Father Benny officiating. Interment will be at the Morgan City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to Bayou Region Hospice, 195 Corporate Drive, Houma, LA 70360.
