BEATTY,
James Beatty was born in Maryland, in 1742. He married Elizabeth Ramer, whose
father fled from Germany to avoid religious persecution by Charles V. Mr. Beatty settled
in Fayette County, KY., among the first white people who sought homes in that state,
& he experienced all the dangers & trials of the long & bloody Indian
war that
followed.
After the return of peace he gave his assistance to the development of the country,&
was one of the party who opened the first road to Ohio.
His children were;
Mary, Michael, James E., Lydia, Edward*, Jonath, Ann, Ruth, Amy, & Barbara. [10]
BEATTY, James E. married & lived in Mobile, AL
Edward
married Malinda PRICE, by whom he had;
James
E., John P., Elizabeth S., & William.

Anna Smith & they had Joseph & Martha J.

Ellen J. HOMES, but they had no children.
Mr. Beatty settled in Audrain Co., in 1837. John P. Beatty married
Elizabeth J. CLARK & they had;
Edward H., John W., Lycurgus, Mary E., Leonidas, Helen S., Lawernce,
James & Oliver, all of whom live in Missousi.

MANSFIELD, Robert & Mourning Clark, his wife, of VA, had William H., James
W., Thomas M., Robert C., Mildred, Elizabeth, Nancy H., Mary, Sarah, & Susanna.
William H., [Methodist] James W., & Joseph were Baptist Preachers. Thomas M was a
Methodist, Robert was a Presbyterian Preacher The latter settled in
Audrain Co., in 1836 & he & Mr. J. H. Smith entered land on
which the city Mexico stands. They donated 25 acres to the city the same year.
MANSFIELD, Robert C. Jr. married Elizabeth S. BEATTY & they had;
Malinda, Mary, William, Edward, Charles, & Lelia.
MANSFIELD, Mildred, Elizabeth, Nancy H., Mary, & Sarah, daughters of
Robert Sr. remained in VA. Mary married & settled in IL. Susanna married &
settled in Monroe Co., MO.

MOORE, Zachariah of Maryland was of English percentage married Elsie BORN
in 1810 their daughter Elizabeth MOORE married Horace BEATTY & settled in Morgan
Co., MO Her Sister Caroline married James BEATTY, who lives in St. Louis.
