Vernon for many years and her remains were returned there for the funeral. The cemetery is not given, but is probably in Mt. Vernon, OH. She was a member of the Vine St. Christian Church. Notes There is a newspaper obituary clipping in Nell's papers, excerpts of which follow: "Alexander Vincent, Sr., died on Saturday morning, February 2d, 1878 at the residence of Wilson Critchfield Esq. in Howard Township after and illness of one year or more, at the advanced age of 76, his illness being dropsy of the heart. Deceased emigrated from Washington County, PA and settled in Howard Township, Knox county 43 years ago.
