Researchers of LA Airharts think that the mother of William and George was a daughter of Nicholas and Sara. The children took the Airhart name after their parents died and they were raised by their grandparents, Nicholas and Sara Airhart. They family moved to Louisana sometime before the 1850 census. George and Eliza, named as a step-sister to George in the 1880 census, are living with Nicholas and Sara in the 1850 census. Creel Cemetery records indicate that their mother may have been named Mary, however this would mean that Nicholas and Sara had daughters named Mary and Polly, not an impossibility, but unusual.
