John Dillahunty, was a Revolutionary War Veteran. His grandson owned the land at one time on which cemetery is located, it having; been given by William Dillahunty (grandson of John.) Adjoining this cemetery is a Negro burial ground for slaves of the Dillahunty and Haynes people. Ruthless land owners have plowed into this land and there is nothing left to identify the cemetery of the Negro families.
(Gloria's note: There was a list of the slaves buried in the mentioned cemetery and then the information went back to the following.)
