James died in Porum, OK in 1927, age 96. In the 1870s he married Amanda Jane ____ in MO. They had nine children. When Amanda died in 1884 the seven younger children were adopted out to German families in the Lincoln, MO area. Descendants of Charles² (Francis¹) Mabry

• Neta Jane Doris In the last few years, I have discovered that the line of descent from Rachel Barns/Barnes, who married Frederick⁵ Maberry in 1821 in Wilkes Co NC, are probably carriers for Hemophilia B, Factor 9. the female of the line is the primary carrier, but, if the male has a mild case of hemophilia he can pass it on to his offspring. There have been 2 cases diagnosed in my family and another case happened arly enough it could not have been diagnosed. I am interested in talking with other descendants of Rachel Barns Mayberry, to find out if others have discovered hemophilia in their family. I would also like to find enough people involved to be able to find a research program to do some study on the effects of Lasix (a diuretic)on people with Hemophila B, Factor 9. He was married twice, first to Margaretha Sheirer (Rebecca) mother of his children (Reuben, Daniel, Willoughby, Mary, Sarah, Rachel, Leah, and William. His second wife was Lydia Bader born 1794 died 1854. William Mabry was a descendant of Thomas Maybury, "the Ironmaster" who established the Green Lane Forge and the Hereford Furnace. The 1850 census of Yalobusha Co lists Nancy Brunson (widow of Joshua Brunson) as head of household in which were these Mabry grandchildren: Jefferson, 17; Mary, 15; Sethimus (Seth), 12; and John, 9. Seth and Jefferson Mabry are later found in TX. It is likely that John K. Mabry married a daughter of Joshua and Nancy Brunson and that Joshua and his wife died just before 1840. - Mae S.
