I was born in the SW corner of Kansas, January 13, 1955 and raised all over the USA. My dad was in Oil and Gas so we moved every 4 months on the average. When I started high school we settled in North Canton Ohio. I went to school at the University of Colorado for two years and the University of Tulsa for 4 years and ended up with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and an MBA. I worked as an RN in various areas all over OK for around 15 years then moved back home to Columubus Ohio as my mom was getting older and my dad had passed away. In late 1995, I retired from working as an RN and got to learning about computers.

I have been interested in genealogy since I can remember. My dad was a great believer in the history and treating the older folks in the family with respect and love. We compiled the history of our family and then I went looking elsewhere. I started out by creating an Ohio area, called Maggie's World of Courthouse Dust & Genealogy Fever, on the internet as I could not find anywhere that had the information that I was seeking. Then I found the OHGenWeb project and the rest is history.

As my interest in the USGenWeb Project grew so did my contributions to this worthy endeavor to enhance free genealogy research on the internet.
