OBITUARY (probably Illiopolis, IL newspaper):
William J. Kaylor second son of John and Serelda Kaylor was born July fifteenth, 1880, in Edgar county, Illinois. When a child of three years his parents moved to this community where he lived until July the second, 1930, when shortly before midnight he answered the final call by Him who has said "come unto me and I will give you rest."
When a boy of fifteen years he confessed his belief in Almighty God and his faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized in this church by Elder G. M. Good who later united him in holy matrimony to Mary Ann Roberts, who survives him. He remained a constant faithful member of this congregation during his entire life.
To William J. and Anna Kaylor were born seven children, three sons and four daughters: Myrtle, Ethel, Edna, Elizabeth , Coyne and John who with twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild are left to comfort his faithful devoted wife and their mother, each of whom unite with his three sisters and two brothers, other relatives and neighbors and legions of friends in this happy thought, "It is well withhis soul."
Intermingled with the sorrow at parting here and with the last look of relatives, friends and neighbors is the sweet consolation that the lines of pain and suffering which marked his features for so many days are gone forever, replaced by that peaceful happy look in death, plainly indicative of the fact that his suffering and sorrows are over forever. Let us be glad for his is not dead but sleeping in the arms of Jesus.
Funeral services were conducted at the Illiopolis Christian Church, Saturday afternoon, July fifth, by the pastor W. B. Stine with interment in River Side Cemetery.
