JAMES E. BAKER
James Elmer Baker, 86, of rural Morris, died Saturday in Marseilles.
He was born in Illiopolis the son of James W. and Elizabeth Kinahan Baker.
Mr. Baker attended Illiopolis Schools and Brown's Business College. He was married to
Elizabeth Kaylor in 1919 in Illiopolis and she died in 1971. Mr. Baker had been a resident of the Morris are since 1942.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Bruntjen of Illiopolis; one son, James W. of Morris; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2pm Tuesday at Davis Funeral Home, Morris and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. Elizabeth Baker, 79, Formerly of Illiopolis, Dies
Mrs. Elizabeth Baker, 79, of rural Morris, and formerly of Illiopolis, died at 8 pm Sunday, April 4 in a nursinghome at Marseilles.
Mrs. Baker was born in Sangamon County, a daughter of William and Anna Roberts Kaylor. She attended school in Illiopolis. She was married to James E. Baker, January 16, 1918 at Mackinaw (Illiopolis).
Surviving are her husband; one son, James; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Bruntjen of Illiopolis, one sister, Mrs. Etherl Peters of Illiopolis; two brothers, Coyne Kaylor of Illiopolis; and John Kaylor of Hillsdale, Mich.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Davis Funeral Home, Morris. Burial was in Evergreen Cem., Morris.
