Notes for Alcey (Elsey) Poore:
Notes from Pat Koetting:
"Stephen Chase in his diary says his neighbor, Mr. Poor, had a second daughter born 24 Jan 1786. Perhaps this is one
of these girls. The diary is in the manuscript Collection at New England Historic and Genealogical Society, Boston,
MA" Source: Desc. of Samuel Poor and his wife Rebecca.
It is unknown how Elsey came to be in Kentucky. Did she travel with her sister Elizabeth and her husband Daniel
Rodway when they moved to Tywapity Bottom, MO? Or did she go to MO to help Elizabeth aft The death of Daniel?
Or perhaps she was visiting Elizabeth and Kinsay in KY, met George (Kinsay's brother) and fell in love, and remained.
Many possibilities exist.
Marriage Consent of Elsey Poor - Caldwell Co. KY, 1813 - in her own handwriting. Photo Copy in possession of Pat
Koetting (& Mary Ann Kaylor):
"I certify that eye am of age and have agreed for George ROBISON to obtain marrie age licins with my name in them.
Winess my hand this 19 of March 1813, Elsey Poor"
George and Elsey appear to have left Caldwell Co. KY about the same time as Kinsay and Elizabeth. Both migrated to
IL. George to Macoupin Co IL and Kinsay to Shelby Co IL.

On the 24th of Aug 1835.

Hugh and in 1870 with her son Presley.

Kinsay and Elziabeth Poor Ordway ROBISON:

As of this writing no record for the birth of Elsey has been located in NH State records, but with the information
