Bayless—Silfies Nuptials Wednesday
Young Couples Will make their Home in Johnsonburg

A pretty wedding occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Silfies at Glen Hazel on Wednesday evening, at 6 o’clock when their daughter, Jennie, became the bride of Frederick W. Bayless.

At the first strain of the wedding march played by Miss Mabel Bayless, the bridal party entered the room. Eugene Silfies, brother of the bride, and John Groves, of DuBois, accompanied the groom as best men, and Gertrude Bayless, sister of the groom, and Mazie Eckert, of Johnsonburg, were bridesmaids. Last of all came the bride attended by her sister, Mabel, and Jessie Bayless, as flower girls. The bride was handsomely gowned in white, and carried a bouquet of roses and lilies. The party took their place beneath a bower of green, where the ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. Sydow, using the ring. After the newly wedded couple had received congratulations an elegant wedding supper was served. The bride was the recipient of many beautiful presents. The couple left for their ready furnished home in Johnsonburg, amid a shower of rice, where the groom has a prominent position in the Johnsonburg National Bank. The couple will be much missed in Glen Hazel, where they are prominent in church work and social circles.

The guests from a distance were: Norman Carr, great uncle of the groom, from Connecticut, Mr. and Mrs. Russel Clark, and Agnes Paterson, of Bradford, Mr. and Mrs. George Umstead of Ludlow, Mr. and Mrs. S. O. Karr and daughter of Warren, John Groves of DuBois, Mazie Eckert of Johnsonburg, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kline, Maude Kline, Fred Kline, Mr. and Mrs. Burchfield, of Ridgeway, Gertrude Karr and Mable Ferry, of Almond, Mrs. Frank Davall of Winwood, and Radie Eisenhart of Sprankle Mills.
