• 16 May 1883 Dominic went before the Todd County District Court Clerk and formally became a citizen of the U.S.  I have his Final Papers but need his Declaration of Intent which would show his port of entry.  I always suspected he arrived with Cyrille.

who descends from a brother of Francois
(in the third generation above), Michel ,
we are nearly positive that Louise Laporte,
the wife of Francois in generation No. 6 above,
is actually Louise Saurel and thus
connects us to Jacques Desmarais of St. Sauveur de Paris, Ile de France,
whose son, Paul Jean, migrated to "New France"--Canada.
