Thanks to the excellent research of
Georges Desmarais
who descends from a brother of Francois
(in the third generation above), Michel ,
we are nearly positive that Louise Laporte,
the wife of Francois in generation No. 6 above,
is actually Louise Saurel and thus
connects us to Jacques Desmarais of St. Sauveur de Paris, Ile de France,
whose son, Paul Jean, migrated to "New France"--Canada.
