VARNER-JOHN-MARY-BITZ-L

Solomon Waggoner v. John Varner and David Hepler litigation of 1818
and
Joseph Wible v. William Bitts litigation of 1827

The yellow area is an insert of a portion of Sewickley Township patents.  The rest of the map is a portion of Hempfield Township patents.

The orange area represents Joseph Wible's mainly Hempfield Township patent from which the Wible v. Bitts litigation originated.

You can see Frederick Varner's patent in relation to all this, above and to the right of John Varner's 1831 land.  Frederick sold the left half and bottom portion by 1797 and his daughter, Mary Sechrist, and husband George, sold the final portion bounding the Fritchman patent in 1830.

The blue area represents the portion of the Carnahan patent in Hempfield and Sewickley Townships purchased by Solomon Waggoner in 1809.

The green area represents the land that John Varner bought from Jane Daugherty in 1831.  There's an additional 18 acres included in his purchase, that fall into the Nehemiah Stokely patent, that I haven't determined the boundaries of yet.

The pink area represents the portion of the Hempfield Township Carnahan patent purchased by David Hepler in 1814.
