What happened to Mollie/Mary after 1880?  In 1900 she would be about 39.

1900 Census, Allegheny City, Allegheny County, Pa., 9 June 1900, "Rowell P. Johnstone", with daughter Josephine, single, age 38.  Household contains two boarders and Bessie J. Hudson, age 10, born September 1889.  Bessie was granddaughter of Jane (Varner) Hudson through her son, Thomas J. Hudson.  Reuel's relation to Bessie:  husband of Bessie's great-grandaunt, Polly.  Bessie was Josephine's first cousin twice removed.  Rowell, "Manger of Carding Dept Woolen Mill"

"Johnstone" and family, and sister Josephine, single.  Charles (70), Ida (56), Reuel (32), Lillian, daughter-in-law (31), Dorothy, granddaughter (9), Elmer, grandson (7), Gladys, granddaughter (5), Josephine (68).  Occupations:  Charles, Artist Photo Engraving, Reuel, repairman tabulating machine. 

Charles and Ida Johnstone Cemetery Photographs Cemetery photographs, and map, for Charles and Ida Johnstone.  Also includes a photograph of sister, Josephine's headstone.  Charles died 1942,  Ida died 1948.  Josephine died 1938.

Cemetery photographs and map for Ruel Varner and Lillian Johnstone, and Elmer, son of Ruel Varner, grandson of Charles.  Also included a photograph of headstone of daughter Jayne Howe who died 28 December 1980.  Ruel Varner died 11 January 1973.  Lillian died 21 May 1975.  Elmer Johnstone died 8 June 1999.

1830 Census, Richmond, Jefferson County, Ohio (bottom part of image).  Reul's record at Union Dale Cemetery stated he was born in Richmond, Ohio.  Three additional adult males and a male between 15-20 living in the Thomas Johnston household--Lori believes it likely Thomas' brothers were living with the family.  One adult female, and two female children. 

[There is also an older Thomas Johnston in the Town of Annapolis, same census page.] 

The record of Reul at Union Dale Cemetery stated that he was born in Richmond, Ohio.
