Mabel said her
grandmother, Amelia (Rehaume) Varner was buried here and apparently all her children were
baptized here.
Mabel said Amelia "was buried [1905] in the churchyard before the church burned.
There are no traces of any graves left at the old site. Buffalo records show several
unidentified graves were found
when the highway was put in. Those bodies were reburied in the Lake View Cemetery in
unmarked graves."
