The said parties John Stephen and Jane Gall were legally married in presence of David Smith and William Clarke both of the Township of Nichol aforesaid. Clarke both in the Township of Nichol, County of Waterloo & District of Wellington and Province of Upper Canada, were determined to enter into the Holy Banns of Matrimony, and have for this purpose bee publicly proclaimed in three successive Sabbaths, with St. Andrew’s Church, Fergus, Nichol aforesaid.
Now these are to certify that the said parties, Alexander Clarke and Nancy Cunningham were legally married together in presence of William Green and Alexander Munro both in the Township of Nichol aforesaid, This Tenth Day of December, One thousand, Eight Hundred and Forty years, by me A. No. 36 Dec 17 [1840] Whereas, James Gill, Bachelor, of the Township of Nichol, County of Waterloo
Gill, James and District of Wellington & Province of Upper Canada, and Christian Gerrie, Spinster, of the Township of Garafraxa, County aforesaid were determined to enter into the Holy Banns of Matrimony and have for this purpose, been publicly proclaimed on three successive Sabbaths with St. Andrew’s Church, Fergus Nichol.

Now these are to certify that the said parties, Robert Pourrie, and Anne McPhail were regularly married (and the same are legally contracted to each other) in presence of Charles Allan and Andrew [unreadable], both in the Township of Nichol aforesaid, this Eleventh Day of Jany., One Thousand, Eight Hundred and Forty One years, by me A. District of Wellington and Province of Upper Canada, Bachelor and Margaret Milne, of the Township, County, District, and Province aforesaid, Spinster, were determined to enter into the Holy Banns of Matrimony, and have for this purpose been publicly proclaimed by Banns, on three successive Sabbaths in St. Andrew’s Church, Fergus and no objection offered why the said parties should be joined together in marriage:

Now these are to certify that the said parties, viz, John Alpaugh and Eleanor McKee, were regularly married and the same are legally contracted to each other, in presence of John B. Now, these are to certify that the said parties, viz. Thomas Young and [blank] Butchart, were regularly married and the same are legally contracted to each other, in presence of Ely Crittendon and [blank] Bailey, both of the Township and Province aforesaid, This Fifteenth Day of September – One Thousand, Eight Hundred and Forty One years, by me A.
