John died in 1907, at age 78 of senile decay, farmer, Anglican - death reg 24505-1907. In the 1871, census they are in Wallace twp., (div. 4, pg 31, C-9942) on 96 acres (70 improved, 10 in pasture), with 1 house and 4 barns, stables etc. With them in 1871 is with them is Ada S. GRAHAM, age 12

John, b. Abt. 1828. He married Martha ROADHOUSE (d/o Joseph & Margaret). In the 1871 census they are in Albion twp., (C9959, div. 3, pg 6).

Keziah, b. 1852 in Albion twp. m. Francis BIRCE. Francis was born in Ontario about 1847, of Scottish origins, according to the 1881 census (when they were living in Albion twp). Children in 1881: William 14, Joseph 12, George 10, Samuel 8, Charles 6, Eddie 4, and Morrison 4 (all boys). Francis was a farmer. They were Church of England.

Elizabeth, b. Abt. 1854. - married George COLLYER on 14 June 1878 in Toronto. George was 29 yrs old, s/o Samuel & Lucy and was born in England. He was a teamster. Both George& Elizabeth were resident of Toronto at the time. Marr reg # 13337-78. George and Elizabeth were living in Toronto in 1881 (census) with their 2 young children, Alfred age 2 and Edna age 1. With them is Emma MELLOW, age 15

Emma, b. Abt. 1866. Living with sister Elizabeth in Toronto in 1881. On 28 Sept 1892 she married John HUMPHREYS in Sandwich, Essex Co. Emma was a resident of Comber at the time. John was age 31, resident of Wallaceburg, and s/o James HUMPHREYS & Caroline RIDOUT. Witness was A. HUMPHREYS of Wallaceburg. Marr reg # 3305-92.

Rachel, b. Abt. 1868.

John A., b. August 1870 in Albion twp. On 27 March 1895 he married Hattie MURRISH in Comber, Tilbury West. John was a farmer in Tilbury West at the time. Hattie was d/o William & Mary and she was born in Peterborough Ont. about 1877. Witness at the marriage were Charles BIRCE & Lela MELLOW, both of Tilbury West (reg # 3307-95) (Note - John Mellow's cousin, John Alford TRUEMAN was also married in Comber, in 1897)

Lela, b. Abt. 1877; m. Harry BRADLEY, April 29, 1908, Toronto. In 1908 Harry was a salesman, living in Toronto, Marriage reg # 1836-08 witn: Stewart LINN & Emma HUMPHREYS, of Toronto

Elizabeth, b. Abt. 1830, Ontario. Married John GRAHAM. In the 1871 census they were in Toronto twp., (C9957, div. 5 pg 34). They were also in Toronto in the 1881 census.

Buried at Wingham cemetery, Turnberry twp., Huron Co is: William GARBUTT, born Yorkshire England, 3 May 1826 and died 26 Sept 1906, age 80 years + 5 months + 23 days. Also, his wife, Hannah MELLOW, died 15 Nov. 1898 at age 64 years + 5 months (therefore born in 1834).
