Peel County was established in 1851 and was prior to this part of the Home District. It is immediately west of Metropolitan Toronto (York County) Ontario.

Bordering counties are:

  • North: Dufferin and Simcoe Counties
  • East: York County
  • South: Lake Ontario
  • West: Halton and Wellington Counties


Caledon, Albion, Chinguacousy, Toronto twp., and Toronto Gore (Toronto, the city, is not in Peel County)
